[Cato has watched all of your shenanigans barge. Particularly the debacle between Nygma and Ladd and Crane. He has some words about this.]

You all suck at giving people a show.

[He's all kinds of cocky teenager] I mean you really do. I went back through the network posts and for whatever reasons or not you guys are lousy.

Plus, I'm amazed the admiral isn't taping all of this. Unless he is. Is he? [Cato is not preturbed by that thought. At all.] I mean okay then maybe I'd take it back because if he's taping this for an audience it doesn't matter if you try to hide what you did. The cameras will see, and people will place bets.

I honestly think that he should make the games available for viewing. [Anyone who has any experience with human emotion can tell Cato's trying to be brave when he says this. It sounds hollow, a boy's boast.] That way, people would have a good idea of what sort of tactics to use.

Or I'd just like to watch them.

I think the problem is that people aren't trying to put on a show. They're just living their lives.

[Dylan has been part of a show where people bet on whether he'd survive or not. He didn't like it.]

As punishment for the period of rebellion that the districts created against the capitol-each district shall offer up two tributes-a male and a female. They shall be pitted against each other in a test of survival in the ultimate sacrifice with only one between the twenty four coming out a victor.

...And they're all constantly trying to kill each other, maim each other, or put each other down. How is that living?

Something with a little more flare. How else would you get people to bet on you?

No, I don't think the admiral is looking to create gladiators or sacrifices or.... tributes. If anything, his intention is the reverse.

Has any district ever refused to send tributes?

Hey, no one said living is always easy. And there are a lot of angry people here, who, unfortunately, turn their anger to violence.

Then the admiral and his deputies need to take things in hand. We don't have those kinds of problems in district two. Someone wouldn't have been murdered like that.

Tell me he's at least being killed. Or whipped.

Not everyone was groomed for the Games like we were... Think of them as though they were from the outskirt districts.

[Snort] No. reaped. The tributes were taken from their homes and forced to compete. It's a good deal I don't understand why people are so against it.

Put a bunch of people in an arena and let them fight to the death.

Or pit them against each other without rules. Eventually people will kill other people.

No, but I have my eyes on a couple of people. Apparently there is some kind of game scheduled-so if you attended you could see how they perform and I'll approach them for you.

[he's trying not to grin.] An actual game, can you believe it?

I'm sure even district two has some crime now and then. [Dylan can barely imagine a place where there are humans that would have no crime whatsoever.]

It's being dealt with. But whipping and execution aren't the sort of punishments we use here.

People shouldn't be forced to fight against their will.

The districts aren't without their victors, sure... [She'll admit, she has become close with some other victors out of necessity...] But they had hardly a chance against ours in most of the Games because of it.

This place is showing its true colors more and more every day. I'll continue to keep an eye out for anyone that piques my interest as well.... We'll need allies of every kind, I think.

There's no shame in being a career tribute. No matter what the poorer districts might say. Or think. The ones who weren't reaped always go on to be high peacekeepers. The head peacekeeper in One went to my academy.

I suggest looking at the games. I was always taught that people show their real colors in contests and feats of arms. Respectfully.
