One. ~ Audio. then video.
[There's a sudden click on the forge and then there's the sound of heavy breathing. Then a shock-a noise-and then a rustle-like clothing moving around. Then a mad scramble and suddenly barge-there's a face.
It's a young face. An attractive face, belonging to a powerfully built young male with short blond hair-matted-absolutely matted with blood and gore. His gaze is wide-eyed.]
...Where's 12?
[he hesitates] Why am I back in my room? Is this-is this another test? Another arena? Or..
[The next part is said half-hopeful, half horrified. Deep down he knows it's not true, and it won't be a particular shock. Still.]
...Did I win?

Re: Audio;
Private;
The testing period has ended.
Re: Private;
Private;
[Riddler chuckles.]
This is Edward Nygma, here to help you prepare for the events ahead. I'll need your cooperation to do that.
Re: Private;
[Basic Panem rights: You have the right to follow the rules. If you take more, dream of more, do anything more, then you will be summarily punished.]
And I should behave myself right? District Pride? are you with the games? One of the game makers?
Private;
Not the maker of the game you're thinking of. This isn't my game. It's the Admirals, the wardens, and their 'arena' isn't as easy to master as the one you just left.
We need to get you cleaned up and your wounds dressed. You look terrible, vulnerable, as you are. I'll explain your situation after I've ensured your health is continuing.
But--
[He pauses.]
I won't force myself unecessarily. Do you want my help?
Private;
...what would you want in return in exchange for helping me?
Private;
[Riddler thinks not.]
Re: Private;
Plus, given the way people have been behaving around me, it doesn't sound like any of you would expect that sort of an attack either.
[And hell if the Riddler denies it Cato will slip back into the tried and true method of defense his uncle taught him. when in doubt, name, district, and serial number.]
Private;
I won't decline an exchange. You demonstrate your skill, where necessary, and I'll help you adjust to the barge to the best of my ability. If that sounds acceptable, I'll pop around to your cabin-- which I still need the number of, by the way.
Re: Private;
because the list wasn't updated quite yet.] A lot of people are looking for me.You're all so concerned.
Private;
Just so we're clear, I won't go looking for you, as they are. You'll need to take the initiative at the door.
[If Cato doesn't judge him trustworthy by appearance alone, well...there'll be plenty of time to work on that.]
