[There's a sudden click on the forge and then there's the sound of heavy breathing. Then a shock-a noise-and then a rustle-like clothing moving around. Then a mad scramble and suddenly barge-there's a face.

It's a young face. An attractive face, belonging to a powerfully built young male with short blond hair-matted-absolutely matted with blood and gore. His gaze is wide-eyed.]

...Where's 12?

[he hesitates] Why am I back in my room? Is this-is this another test? Another arena? Or..

[The next part is said half-hopeful, half horrified. Deep down he knows it's not true, and it won't be a particular shock. Still.]

...Did I win?

[The game. And yes, you just lost the game too if you're reading this. but for Cato it's more then just mild frustration.]

The Hunger games. but no one here knows what they are or seems to have heard of them.

...you do go hungry. [He looks-interested at that. Thinking about food.]

...Cato. District Two Tribute. [he can give this information out. he has an ally.]

[She doesn't know what a tribute is, but if that's what they call players in their 'hunger games,' his world must be pretty awful.]

Morgana Pendragon, Camelot. Queen of Camelot. [Former. Future. Whatever, it counts.]

Who killed you?

[districttwo]

...A queen? [He frowns] is that like a girl president?

[and he looks angry.] Twelve killed me. Stupid...blind...rotten..worthless..

[He begins to pace.] Moron.

[She almost asks what a president is, but it was explained once before.] Something like that, yes.

[A beat, then:] You, or this 'twelve?'

Twelve. Everdeen. she's the moron. [He says that only because she was smarter then he was. She came up with a better strategy-

there is something about her that reminds him of a person who he despises and therefore he hates her with a burning passion. His lips set in a firm line.] Katniss. I can't believe I lost.

I don't know any Katniss. I doubt she's aboard.

[districttwo]

...Because she won.

[And Cato, out of nowhere, rises and shoves his desk away from the wall. One smooth fluid angry motion. It falls and things scatter and splinter.]

[Oh ho. She shifts a little, because she has plenty of faith in her magic to protect her, but it's still a sudden movement. But she knows that men with tempers have their uses.]

That doesn't mean you won't one day wake up to find her here. Trust me. [She's taken that bitter pill. >|]

...what, that's possible? Will she be dead too? [And for a moment there's a twist of fear because just thinking about that makes him smile in a way his uncle might have found perverse and his father-

and the anger's back at the thought of his father. His hands clench.]

Wardens don't have to have experienced that to try redeeming us. [And doesn't she sound bitter? She remembers what it felt like to bleed out on the forest floor.]

Death has a way of not sticking here.
