round 05 [video]
[Post this, Cato has finally emerged from the common room. and he is...full of unease but playing it cool. Oh so cool]
Are there mutts here?
[he hesitates] Is that part of the rehabilitation process? If inmates get...out of line are they fed or forced to square off against muttations?
[The saddest part about this, barge, is that he is beyond serious. Don't expect anything beyond nods and okays as far as responses go however.]
[Private to Dylan]
...There was...a thing. I thought it was a small mutt but it was just a regular dog I think but...
[and he lets that hang. Because. Dogs. He can't handle it.]

No one gets fed to anything. Being scared keeps people in line, but it's not how they do things here.

A few people keep dogs here as pets, but there aren't any mutts. And I promise you that I will never let you be fed to anything.

Okay, never mind, unless you feel like talking about it. Look, do you have an issue with dogs? Because I've got one, but he's really well trained. If we pass each other in the halls I can always steer him aside if it really bugs you.
You're not the only one who's from a world where dogs are used as weapons against people. But no one gets to do that here.

[And then, because he has to know, considering.]
...Did you run into a dog, kid?

[He's friendly enough for now, all things considered, but he already dislikes your face, Cato.]
